Thank you for visiting Acrylic Pines. Please read the following information, as it pertains to your privacy as a visitor, user, and/or customer. Your privacy and security are extremely important to me.
I’m just visiting
What information is collected when I view your site?
I use Google Analytics to track usage and performance on my site. Their program allows me to see what you’re looking at on my website, where you’re coming from and what language you speak, and your browser information. Google Analytics doesn’t collect PII (Personally Identifiable Information), such as your email or name. Google cookies and advertisements collect the same demographics for informational and performance purposes. I also use Sumo Me’s Hot Map, which shows me what parts of my pages are getting the most attention. Ads and affiliate links will also collect this information. This assists their advertising programs and helps me better understand my visitors.
What does that mean?
This information helps me understand how my website and business are performing. When I can see which pages are viewed the most and have a generalized idea of who’s visiting, I can tailor my posts and content to my visitors’ interests. Your personal information is private and confidential, and it’s illegal to collect, use, or share it without your explicit permission.
Still have questions? Take a look at these sources to get a better idea of what Google Analytics does:
I signed up for your newsletter
When you sign up for our newsletter, you voluntarily provide your name and your email address. Your personal information is only used to send you the newsletter and my product information. Email addresses are stored in a secure database and not shared with other parties, unless—in some exceptional case—I am required to by law. Again, your privacy and security is very important to me, as is being an upstanding citizen and keeping the law. And per the law’s requirement, you always have the option to opt out of my emails. You can unsubscribe at any time, and your information will be permanently removed from my lists.
I’ve purchased a product
When you purchase products, you voluntarily provide your name, email, billing and shipping information, and a payment method. If you choose to create an account, you’re asked to create a username and password. A secure connection is required to make a purchase, and all of your information is kept safe and never shared with third parties unless, again—in some exceptional case—I am required to by law. The service I use for product orders is WooCommerce. I do not have access to view or use your billing or credit card information, nor your account login information (unless you’ve provided me your email for my newsletter, of course). I can view your shipping information because I am the one shipping you your orders.
A Few Notes
Links to separate entities are provided throughout the website, but please be aware that I do not represent these companies. I utilize their services to support and run my business and make a living. They have their own terms and conditions that are subject to change. While some companies are utilized solely for analytical and performance purposes, others (like WooCommerce) collect your information for things like purchases and subscriptions.
Your Discretion and Responsibility
Please use your own discretion when voluntarily providing personal information, especially when asked to make a payment online. The internet is not always a safe place, and no one is immune to scams. I do my very best to install measures that keep my site, and therefore your information, secure and safe for use. If you find something that appears suspicious, please report it. It’s important to me to remain informed of any issues on my site. If you have concerns, notify me via email at email@example.com. When you are contacting me, please be kind and do not use derogatory or inappropriate language. Your concerns are my concerns, and I will happily take the time to address them, but the kindness must be reciprocated.
If you are not comfortable with using this site or its services, you are absolutely free not to. You have the option to opt out of emails, cancel or be refunded for orders, or to remove your account (please see my Terms & Conditions for more specific details). If you do not agree with this statement, the Terms & Conditions, or any other information on this site, you are advised not to visit or use its services.
My own privacy and security are very valuable to me, and I ask visitors to respect it. If you disregard my security and privacy or make attempts to harm my reputation without reasonable cause or proof, I retain the right to defend myself and my business.
I do my best to retain your security and privacy, and to uphold the law. It is your responsibility to be conscientious of your internet use, and to use discretion when providing personal information. Please be safe when using the internet!
